ということで、今回はこの３つの違いを英英辞典で見てみましょう。
もちろんオリンピックが近いので「メダル」にちなんで「ゴールド」「シルバー」「ブロンズ」です。
まずは「金」から

金って柔らかいんですよね。
そして説明文で目立つのが jewellery という単語。
もちろんジュエリーですね。
続いて「銀」

「金」と比べると、大雑把には yellow か shiny かっていうくらいの違いですね。
金メダルと銀メダルの違いは、金メダルは銀メダルに金メッキしたものっていうのと同じようなものですね（多分違う）。
それでは「銅」
ブロンズですね。
あ、XX年ぶりくらいに思い出した。セイント星矢ってブロンズ戦士でしたよね・・・あれ？戦士だっけ？

あれ？mixture って書いてあるから混ぜてあるんですね。
何が混ざっているかというと、copper と tin。
copper は銅です。
ブロンズって「銅」といいつつ、銅ではなかったんですね。
じゃ、tin ってなんでしょう？
素直に英和辞典を使うと tin は「スズ」だってわかります。
銅メダルの銅は銅じゃなくて銅とスズの混合物だったんですね、どうだ～。
さらにちなみに、copper を英英辞典で見てみると・・・。

日本語で書かれていたとしても、この説明から「銅」ってわかる人はあまりいないような気がします。
